The NYCWP Writing Together

April 13, 2020

Last Updated on by Jane Higgins

In these days of crisis, we find ourselves in our separate spaces, busy with remote teaching and tending to the very real needs of our students and our families, while dealing with our own thoughts. In this time, the NYC Writing Project would like to invite you, our friends, to come together as a community.
Please join us for The NYCWP Writing Together, an opportunity for all of us to write and share our stories. In the tradition of the Writing Project, we will offer a variety of interactive prompts to support writing as well as the ever-present opportunity to let your pen take you in any direction.
We will conclude our session together by asking for your input about the best ways for us to continue to write together and how we can support you as we all move forward during these times.
As part of the NYCWP, you are a member of a unique community of caring educators. Let’s continue to strengthen our community by sharing this experience as writers together.
Please join us on Friday, April 17th at 7:30-9:00pm. We will conclude at 9pm, but feel free to join for as long as you’re able.

Please RSVP here, and we will follow up with the details to join us on Zoom. We are aware of the concerns around Zoom security at this time, so if joining a Zoom session presents an issue for you, please feel free to email me (jane@nycwritingproject.org). At the end of our session, we will discuss next steps and we will include using Zoom in that conversation.
