Youth Voices: Connected Learning
With the program Youth Voices, the New York City Writing Project demonstrates how starting with students’ interests will help teachers meet the expectations of the Common Core Learning Standards.
We know what it’s like to be faced with new standards and multiple assessments. We also know the power of the Youth Voices curriculum and projects to engage all learners. In this workshop, the NYCWP will introduce Youth Voices and help teachers provide their students with what they need to be successful in school while engaging in work that is meaningful.
All Youth Voices workshops provide hands-on experience that teachers will be able to use in the classroom.

Recently, on December 9, Youth Voices published the work of student participants from the 2013 Youth Voices Summer Program.
