NYCWP’s Partner Schools

Onsite professional development is based in the belief that PD does not come not from the outside, but resides deeply in the practices of the classroom and the culture of the school. This philosophy is at the core of NYCWP partnerships.

We enter into schools as teachers teaching teachers to form multi-year collaborations to help build and shape literacy practices from within. There is no one-size-fits-all model.

For over 30 years we have partnered with over hundreds of school communities and thousands of teachers grounding our work in the realities of the classroom. We listen to teachers, get to know students, and help co-plan curriculum that addresses the goals and objectives unique to the context of each individual classroom in each individual school.
