Join the New York City Writing Project on Election Day! The NYCWP will host another Election Day workshop, Writing Across the Curriculum with Students at the Center. With this workshop, you will earn CTLE credit and explore Writing Project theory and practice.

Full workshop description:

Have you wondered how to help your students become engaged and academically successful writers?  Would you love to have students who know their voices matter and know how to use them to enact change in their world?  This full-day workshop on November 6, 2018 (Election Day), will invite teachers to explore writing as a tool for thinking, learning, and engaging in real-world issues.  This professional development day will provide teachers with an introduction to key principles and practices of the New York City Writing Project and its 40-year history of teachers teaching teachers.  Participants will experience and take away strategies they can apply to their own classrooms in all subject areas.
