UPDATE: The application window for the 2016 Second Year Fellowship is now CLOSED. If you would like to be notified about the 2017 Fellowship, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with subject line Mailing List to be contacted when the application becomes available.
The New York City Writing Project is now accepting applications for its prestigious Second Year Fellowship for teacher leaders who have already participated in a past NYCWP Invitational Summer Institute and are now ready to take the next step in their leadership development. Accepted Fellows will expand their involvement with the NYCWP, deepen their teaching practice, and work with students and other teachers to support high-quality literacy instruction in schools. Please note that this program is only for those who have already participated in the NYCWP ISI/ILI. If you are interested in leadership opportunities with the NYCWP but have not participated in the Institute, please consider applying for the 2016 Invitational Leadership Institute, instead.
Accepted Fellows will engage with pedagogy and educational theory to emerge into a leadership role both within the NYCWP Community and their school and professional communities. They will develop in-person and hybrid NYCWP workshops, support other teachers by coaching Fellows in the Invitational Leadership Institute, and work with teachers and students in a unique learning lab at Lehman College in a partnership with PERC schools.
Applications will be accepted through April 18th, 2016 at bit.ly/2YF2016
